I-glu gets to grips with Yahoo and Google
One of the most common complaints about a website is either nobody knows how many people visit it or if they do know they are not happy with the amount of traffic. Bearing in mind that 80% of Internet sessions either start with or include searching using a search engine, it's very important that a website is not only search engine 'friendly', but also that a site is optimized on a regular basis. The reason being that the search engine landscape changes on a regular basis. Each search engine has it's own criteria for searching, coupled with competitor sites updating and optimizing their sites.

Hence over the last few months, we've been beavering away on the i-glu site. You may not have noticed (apart from the major redesign) that things were changing, but the whole site was being re-written and re-developed in the background. A major new area of the site is the link exchange where relevant sites are encouraged to swap reciprocal links. Why do we bother to do this? One of the most important factors search engines look for is IBL's (In Bound Links). Therefore it's important to have relevant, high ranking sites linking to us.

I-glu has a new logo and redesigned website
If you are reading this newsletter on the I-glu site, you will have noticed that we look different. We updated our logo around 3 months ago. This was a subtle re-engineering of the logo device which slightly simplified the original i-glu logo. Over the last few week, the whole websites has been redesigned and rebuilt to compliment our stronger identity. We've tied the look more into our identity, redeveloped our navigation system to be more intuitive and added more content. If you have any feedback, click here.
